Nursery Shelf Installation Tips

Crafted with care, our gorgeous nursery shelves feature leather straps that add a touch of elegance to any nursery. Designed for both style and functionality, these shelves provide the perfect space to display your little one's keepsakes, books, and decor.

Important Disclaimer

These installation tips are provided as a helpful guide. We recommend you install the screws into the wall studs. However, if this is not possible, we include two drywall anchors but advise you to minimize the weight placed on the shelves. Timberwood Designs is not responsible for how these products are installed.

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Mark the Wall

  1. Using a level, measure and mark two points on the wall approximately 10 inches above the desired height of the shelf.
  2. We recommend the following spacing between each shelf:
  • 16 inches apart for the 20” shelf to install directly into the studs
  • 2 inches off the ends for the 30” shelf using the drywall anchors appropriately

Step 2: Drill the Holes

  1. Using a 1/4-inch drill bit, drill two holes at the marked points.

TIP: Keep the drill bit level while drilling to ensure the leather straps are mounted flush to the wall.

Step 3: Insert Drywall Anchors

  1. Insert drywall anchors into the drilled holes.

TIP: A hammer may be used to gently tap the anchor until it is flush with the wall. Avoid driving the collar of the anchor beneath the wall surface.

Step 4: Attach Leather Straps

  1. Fold the leather strap in half, aligning the two holes.
  2. Using a screwdriver or drill, secure the strap to the wall by inserting the screw over the washer and through the leather strap holes.
  3. Repeat with the second leather strap.

Step 5: Install the Shelf

  1. Insert the shelf between the leather straps.
  2. Adjust the shelf to ensure it is level.

Step 6: Final Check

  1. Ensure all screws are tight and the shelf is level and secure.
  2. Your Timberwood Designs Nursery Shelf is now ready for use!
